On May 11th, the world's first 45T cycloid gear reducer was officially delivered in the manufacturing park of Hubei Swete Transmission Co., LTD. According to reports, the reducer is developed by Hefei Institute of Material Sciences of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hubei Siwete Transmission Co., LTD., which took three and a half years to complete. It is the world's first RV reducer with maximum load, high precision, large reduction ratio and super torque, which marks a major breakthrough in the field of RV reducer.
As a precise power transmission mechanism, RV reducer is the core component of industrial robot, known as the "joint" of industrial robot. The world's first 45T cycloid gear reducer with a maximum load capacity of 450,000 N.m and a bearing equipment error of less than 5 arc-minutes is expected to be used in multifunctional heavy load manipulator in nuclear environment.
The ITER project is one of the largest and most far-reaching international scientific cooperation projects in the world, according to Yao Damao, a researcher at the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The multi-functional heavy-load manipulator, which is used to maintain internal components of the reactor, has a diameter of 750mm, a length of 11m and a terminal load of 2.5 tons. Due to the special extreme environment inside the experimental reactor, the working accuracy of the manipulator is very high, which is a complicated test for the design and manufacture of the reducer inside the manipulator. "It requires the reducer to have high precision, super torque and a large reduction ratio at the same time, which is very difficult."
In order to overcome this problem, the technical teams of both sides started from the material selection process and carried out continuous destructive tests to test its density, rigidity and overall combination of purchased parts. After hundreds of failures and nearly 50 material changes, the right material was finally found.
As one of the largest robot (RV) reducer manufacturers in China, the R&D team of Hubei Siwei Special Transmission Co., Ltd. began to focus on RV reducer research and development as early as 2013. After nearly ten years of scientific research, we broke the foreign technology monopoly at one fell fell, and now we have formed a strong product spectrum of more than 300 varieties in 6 series. The research and development team developed the world's smallest known RV reducer in 2017, with a self-weight of only 0.37kg and a carrying weight of 45N.m, with an accuracy less than one twentieth of that of a human hair. According to Yu Yunqing, chairman of the company, the 45T cycloid gear reducer delivered this time not only realizes the full coverage of the company's RV reducer from the world's smallest to the world's largest, but also provides a new scheme for the application and development of industrial robots in the future nuclear radiation environment, which is of great significance to promote the use of human nuclear energy.
